how do I know what equipment I need to race?

The equipment you need is determined by the organization that sanctions your race, you can contact the group or sanctioning body and ask for a specification list or rule book that will contain the exact specification your required equipment must meet.

start, racing in progress, the green and yellow flag rolled up and crossed over each other indicates a false start of the race. go around the track and line up again to start the race		to start the race, also displayed during racing
caution, no passing, slow down look for something or someone on the track, accident ahead. waved in an area or corner incident is present. held still and displayed at other area to indicate a caution is out at another corner be ready for slowing.		any time it is not safe to race or pass
Debris or oil on track surface, be cautious		to alert drivers to abnormal track conditions ahead
Get off the track go to your pit area, leave track immediately. sometimes pointed at a driver rolled up to indicate a warning on their violation of the rules, waved open to indicate violation, damage on car, unsafe condition, leave the track		to indicate to a driver he needs to get off the race track as soon as possible. he is a danger to others.
Move over and let faster traffic go by.		when a faster vehicle is passing. when a rookie is going to be overtaken by a faster car.
Stop where you are immediately, shut off engine, danger, emergency vehicles entering track. all racing stops		Emergency stop immediately, shut off your engine, danger, severe accident, or condition.
white flag, courtesy flag indicates last laps		when the end of the race is near, checkered flag will be out soon. usually 1-2 laps from the end.
End of the race, waved at the start finish line, indicates race is over.		at the end of the race.
